Papillon Center for Loss and Transition

Licensed Professional, part-time

Papillon offers free, professionally led bereavement services in a warm, supportive environment and a beautiful new facility. We are expanding our services, so this is a unique time to add your skills and influence the shape of our offerings. Our team is passionate about the mission and you will love working with them.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you’ll join a close-knit team of professionals who understand what a difference the right kind of support can make in building healthy communities. You’ll work with adults or kids and teens who are experiencing the loss of loved one, including those who have lost pregnancies, children, or pets. We are redesigning some of our offerings, so your expertise would be valued in that process as well.

  • Perform participant intake
  • Coordinate communication with facilitators including schedules, meetings, and issues of concern.
  • Plan program workshops and events
  • Assist with grant applications and required reports 
  • Develop program evaluation practices (e.g. develop indicators for success)
  • Attend professional development workshops on grief 
  • Lead on site fee-based crisis grief support coordination and record keeping
  • Make community presentations 

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Professional experience as any of the following: MFT, LCSW, LPCC, RN, APN,
  • Knowledge of complicated grief as well as experience facilitating groups of adults with diverse bereavement needs.
  • Passion, creativity, and compassion, of course

Desired Skills and Attributes:

  • For youth programs, a knowledge of normal youth development as well as the youth experience of grief and bereavement. You’ll also have skills in classroom management and safety of children and youth.
  • Fluency in Spanish would be especially valuable.
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Experience in critical incident debriefing

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – Papillon Center for Loss & Transition

Are you tech-savvy admin interested in working on a variety of tasks?  Would you like to use your expertise and compassion to be involved in the community? We would love to talk with you!

Papillon offers free, professionally led bereavement services in a warm, supportive environment and a beautiful new facility. We are expanding our services, so this is a unique time to add your skills and influence the shape of our offerings. Our team is passionate about the mission and you will love working with them.

Responsibilities:

We are a small and growing non-profit, so you will be a key part of our team, have plenty of autonomy and work on a variety of projects.

  • Answer incoming calls, typically from potential participants
  • Use donor management software, including data entry and reporting
  • Develop and execute marketing materials, including donor communications
  • Promote and staff fundraising events, work with local media
  • Troubleshoot minor technical and facilities issues
  • Social Media, particularly Facebook – post, update, design and execute targeted email campaigns
  • Accept and process donations, administer our library
  • General office administration –mail, office supplies, scheduling, etc

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with social media, email tools, office suites a must; skills with fundraising tools a definite plus (FB, MailChimp, Bloomerang)
  • Incredible organizational skills and a demonstrated proficiency in writing
  • Mature, compassionate communication skills, particularly in talking with our participants
  • Self motivation balanced with a willingness to accept direction
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Spanish fluency and B.A. or equivalent desired

The Fine Print

$18-21/hour, up to 20 hours/week, typically between 10 AM and 1 PM with some flexibility

Reports to the Executive Director, EOE
