PAPILLON CENTER FOR LOSS AND TRANSITION’S PET BEREAVEMENT PROGRAM TURNS OVER A NEW LEAF
Updated: Nov 16, 2020
The bond between humans and animals is precious.
Papillon Center for Loss and Transition is pleased to announce our new partnership with BirchBark Foundation and the integration of our Pet Bereavement Program into their own Pet Loss and Grief Program.
We are grateful we have found a new home for this much needed service. BirchBark partners with veterinarians to help save pets’ lives during medical emergencies when their owners are unable to fully afford the necessary critical care. Working with their 30 veterinary partners and other non-profits throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, this non-profit organization provides a holistic approach to comforting pet families through financial, educational and emotional support.
The Birchbark team is excited to expand their assistance to our Central Coast communities as they carry the torch for Papillon. Our Papillon team thanks Birchbark for ensuring those grieving the immense loss of a beloved pet will continue to receive caring and compassionate support. Services will include one-on-one private sessions with a grief counselor as well as upcoming virtual group meetings.
